Slicing 2 (Source)

wanted to see if usuing multiple FAN's woul increase your chance for success. I did two tests each usuing 25 FAN's on the same weapon. I did these two different ways,
1. I kept putting 25 clamps on the same weapon, and never closed the slice window
2. I put 25 clamps on another identical weapon, and closed the slice window every time.
First let me start by saying that i realize this is not nearly large enough of a test group to produce reliable results, but i dont' have unlimited time and resources to test with, and its boring to boot.
Test 1
R= Red (Negative) B= Blue (Positive)
RBRBBBBBBBBBBBBRBBRBBRRRB 7 Red 19 Blue
True Wire = Blue
On this test the method proved to be 72% accurate,
Hypothesis: If you don't close the window the Nodes chose the correct wire 72% of the time. This leads me to believe that if you don't close the Slice window that the wire stays the same. Notice that it did choose the wrong wire 3 times in a row once, so even getting 3 to say the same thing is not flawless.
Test 2
R= Red (Negative) B= Blue (Positive)
RRRRRRRRBBBRRBRRBBRBBRRRR
True Wire = Blue
On this test this method proved to be incorrect 68% of the time.
Hypothesis
This is a 68% margin of error, this makes me believe that the wire is defenetly reset everytime if you close the Slicing window. This % of error seemed a bit high, so i ran through another 20 FAN's on another identical weapon and that came out to be correct 65% of the time.
From the results of these small tests, it seems that the wire is reset everytime that the Slice window is opened. Of course with this small of test data this could be completely coincidence. If anyone has the time or the resources I would love to see how your tests result.

There is a simle way to test the theory for closing the window, being a reset for which wire it might be. Get 20 clamps. Open window for slice install clamp (MCs being 100% true or pretty friggin close to it) look at result. Close window. Reopen, and use clamp.. repeate. Watch your results and see if it ever changes. Do this 10 times. Next test would be to leave the window open (if possible, i dunno i just had the thoughts while at work reading the post.) Use the clamps without ever closing the window and see the the response ever changes.
If someone wants to try this out and post results im sure some people would appreciate it. I'll try to attempt this tonight if i can get some MCs. I'm not putting my exp in to slicing 4 until i have all the other skills at 4 so i can get slice 4 and master in one move to avoid all the frustration of slicing 4 that people talk about. Sitting happily at slice 3 until then.
