Game MechanicsIn order for a factory to start producing items, it must first be turned on. Factories only get the option to be turned on if they have a manufacturing schematic loaded. Note: Structures without schematics loaded will only have Three Radial Options on the Options radial menu listing. Structures with a schematic loaded will have Six Radial Options. Once a schematic is loaded, the player must click on the Options radial menu and choose the Start Manufacturing Objects option. This will begin the production process. To stop the manufacturing process, the player must click the Options radial menu again and choose the Stop Manufacturing Objects option. Once started a factory will now run until it runs out of power, has used up the resources, until it has produced as many items as allowed by the manufacturing schematic limit, until the output hopper is full or until the player Stops the manufacturing process.
Email notificationsIf the factory has stopped production for any reason, it delivers an e-mail to the player informing them that it has stopped.
