Currently there is no formula for determining the chance that an attack will produce battle fatigue on a target. Battle Fatigue seem to almost always come in threes and in addition to wounds. Any form of attack has a base chance of causing battle fatigue. One guess at the base percentage chance was that it starts at 5% and is further modified by the wounding chance value on the weapon equipped by the player or npc, therefore each attack done has at least a 5% chance of causing wounds/battle fatigue to the target. Creatures may, or may not have individual wounding settings.

Game Mechanics

Battle fatigue is a negative stat given to players as they perform various actions in the game. Battle fatigue causes healing and buffing abilities to be less effective when used on a player as well as causing additional wounds. Actions that can accrue battle fatigue are:

  • 1. Being attacked by ranged or melee weapons
  • 2. Diseases
  • 3. Fire Dots
  • 4. Radioactive Sampling
  • 5. Cloning
  • 6. Tend Wound
  • 7. Tend Damage
  • 8. Heal Mind
  • 9. Quick Heal

Effects of Battle fatigue on Healing

Battle fatigue accumulation offers a number of negative effects to the player. One of these is its affect on healing and medical enhancement buffing values. Food and item buffs are not affected by battle fatigue.

Battle Fatigue does NOT affect buff or healing performance until 250 Battle Fatigue. One could have 249 Battle Fatigue and it will be the same as one with 0 Battle Fatigue.

Battle Fatigue after 250 - affects the buff and heals done to the player by 1% per 10 Battle Fatigue.

At 1000 Battle Fatigue (when Battle Fatigue caps) buff and heal performance is reduced by 75%.

At 750 Battle Fatigue buff and heal performance is reduced by 50%.

At 500 Battle Fatigue buff and heal performance is reduced by 25%.

Healing Abilities Affected by Battle Fatigue:

  • Heal Damage
  • Heal Wound
  • Heal Enhance - (stat buffing only)

There are some healing abilities however which are not affected by battle fatigue. These are:

  • Quick Heal
  • Heal Mind
  • Jedi Force Healing

Effects of battle Fatigue on Wound Generation

Another effect that battle fatigue has is on amplifying wound amounts on players when they perform certain activities or have certain effects placed onto them. Depending on the amount, battle fatigue will cause additional wounds inflicted on the player. A list of activities that battle fatigue affects are:

  • 1. Diseases
  • 2. Fire Dots
  • 3. Radioactive Sampling
  • 4. Heal Mind

Battle Fatigue Accrual Through Combat

Ranged and melee attacks made against a player will also cause battle fatigue. These types of attacks seem to almost always cause 3 points of battle fatigue except in the case of when a critical wounding event occurs. In this circumstance, only 1 point of battle fatigue is accrued. For more information on critical wounds see Wounds

An example of gaining battle fatigue from attacks is as follows

[Combat] 00:55:50 a male mawgax hits you for 232 points of damage!
[Combat] 00:55:50 You have been wounded for 1 points.
[Combat] 00:55:50 You have taken 1 in battle fatigue.
[Combat] 00:55:50 You have been wounded for 1 points.
[Combat] 00:55:50 You have taken 1 in battle fatigue.
[Combat] 00:55:50 You have been wounded for 1 points.
[Combat] 00:55:50 You have taken 1 in battle fatigue.

Curing Battle Fatigue

Battle fatigue does not fade away on its own. The primary means of healing battle fatigue is to find an entertainer. Watching or listening to an entertainer while within a particular structure will reduce the battle fatigue levels on a player.

Valid structures to heal battle fatigue in include:

  • any player structure (player theaters on the backstage area counts)
  • NPC city Cantinas
  • NPC city Hotels
  • NPC city Guild Hall Theaters
  • NPC city Taverns

An alternative means for curing battle fatigue come from Jedi Force Healing abilities which can remove battle fatigue from a target.
