System Messages
Radial MenusGame MechanicsThere are two types of pets in which players may own and use; these are wild creatures with the second type being bio-engineered creatures. Wild creatures are available through creature handlers who may then trade the pets to other players. These pets cannot be sold on vendors. The second type of pets, the bio-engineered creatures, are sold by bio-engineers in the form of deeds. These deeds can then be used from the player's inventory to obtain the creature.
Calling PetsIf you have bought a bio-engineered pet deed in your inventory then double clicking on this or selecting the radial option "Tame" from the radial menu will cause the new pet to appear in your datapad as a Pet Control Device. To call the pet out, use its radial option in the datapad by clicking Call option on the radial. You have to go outside to call a pet unless you are in a city, a camp, or in a public building such as your residence). If not in a town, public building or camp, then there is a 15 second timer before the pet will be spawned from the datapad. A player cannot call a pet out while in combat (being in the combat stay even if not attacking, being attacked or attacking a target). Entering Combat (attacking or being attacked) will cancel the calling process of a pet/vehicle if the player has issued a call request. A player will not be able to call a vehicle/mount/pet/droid during combat for 30 seconds after combat is concluded. Players will not be able to call a pet, mount, or vehicle while riding a vehicle or mount. Non creature handlers may only call and use one pet at a time and this pet must then be stored before you can call another droid, vehicle or creature. Only one of each are allowed out. Creature Handlers may call up to 5 pets total which include a droid, a faction npc, and up to 3 creature pet or combination of creature pets and a vehicle. Only the creature pets summoned will count against the creature handler's level 70 combined creature level cap. Non creature handlers cannot call aggressive creatures or creatures of higher Challenge Level than 10; this includes using mounts. Non creature handler Players can't summon vehicles and pets at the same time. When a vehicle is called, the pet will store, and when a pet is called the vehicle will store. Storing & Removing PetsA player cannot store a pet out while they themself are in combat. Pets can be stored back into the datapad so long as they are not in combat (being attacked or attacking). Additionally a 30 second timer is applied after it performs its last aggressive action (or having been attacked) before it may be stored. The pet can be stored back in the datapad either through its radial menu, through the datapad menu. Pets will auto store when the owner uses a shuttle to travel. Upon incapacitation, Pets will automatically store after a 4 minutes if they are not revived medically. Unstored pets will not remain in the world after their owner has logged out for longer than 2 minutes, and current health info. etc. will properly be saved.
How many pets can I own at one time?Non creature handler players can have up to 2 creature pets stored in the datapad. Creature handlers may have the 2 that non ch players get plus their stored pet mod value. Incapacitation Recovery
Pets are unable to re-capacitate from being healed nor from their own regeneration for at least 2 minutes after being incapacitated. The Incapacitation Recovery ability is activated through the pet's radial menu from clicking on the pet itself. Its job is to revive the pet after it becomes incapacitated. Recapacitation for pets is set to a forced 2 minute wait for the pet to come back to life, even if its health has regenerated. Due to this rule, Incapacitation Recovery can only be applied to the pet after two minutes. Using this ability gives the pet back 1 health point to its affected pools should they have not fully regenerated beyond 0 by the time the 2 minute timer is up. General Notes:
