DetailsDark novatroopers were a variant of the dark troopers, deadly next-generation stormtroopers/battle droids used by the Galactic Empire. They were programmed with expertise in boarding operations against enemy ships and as such were commonly used to board Rebel Alliance corvettes. They remained in operation throughout the Galactic Civil War, unlike the ill-fated standard soldiers.
