+ | |||
+ | This attribute spawns on any item that has had its base type name changed. For player crafted items this type change occurs when the player renames the item from the default given one. The name change can occur automatically as the player chooses a particular style for the item during the customization process or by manually renaming the item in the name field. After changing the name the item now indicates that it is a variation of the specific type that it originated as. | ||

Droid Misc Item Experimentation MechanicsItems Affected1. Droid Storage Compartment
Experimentation Lines1. Experimental Quality The Arakyd Probe Droid, Seeker Droid, and Interplanetary Survey droid all require resources with 33% OQ, 33% UT, and 33% SR. The Arakyd Probe Droid and Seeker Droids have Durability and Quality listed as experimentation fields, however neither field appears to have an effect on the end result. Interplanetary Survey Droids have Durability, Quality, and Count as the listed experimentation fields. Only Count and Quality appear to affect the final product. Quality experimentation reduces the amount of time that it takes for the droid to report back and the Charge experimentation increases the number of uses of the ISD. ISDs benefit highly from being a 12 point crafter. Droid Storage Compartments require 50% OQ and 50% CD. If you are going to use Droid Storage Compartments in the different variety of Kits, experimentation and quality do not matter. If the Droid Storage Compartments are going to be used in a Private Crafting Station, then you will want to have the highest quality resources and experiment the Effectiveness line as fully as you can. Every ounce of success on the DSCs will increase the Function Rating of a Private Crafting Station.
Seeker Droids and Arakyd Probe Droids do not have an experimention for their quantity. Their use values are preset. The uses for each item are as follows: Seeker Droid: 10 uses per Seeker Arakyd Probe Droid: 5 uses per Probe Droid. General Item AttributesThese attributes can appear on any of these crafted items. Variation Of:
Volumn: Represents the current container contents of the Item. For more information about volumn counts, see Inventory Mechanics
Object Creator: This attribute appears only on crafted items or looted components. The crafter's name is listed here. General Item Mechanics, and General Crafting Mechanics for more information about Serial numbers
Serial Number: This attribute only appears on crafted items. This represents the alphanumeric code given to the item.

Mechanism Quality Interplanetary Survey Droids - The Mechanism Quality attribute for Interplanetary Survey Droids factors into the total duration before the droid will report the resource location to the player. Having a higher Mechanism Quality rating will decrease the time for the reports. Experimentating in the Experimental Quality line will increase the Mechanism Quality rating. For more information about calculating the report duration, see Using Interplanetary Survey Droids Quality: Droid Storage Compartment - The Quality attribute for Droid Storage Compartments factors into the Functionality Rating of crafting stations. Having a higher Quality value increases the Functionality Rating of the station. Experimenting on the Experimental Effectiveness line will increase the Quality attribute. Source References
