+ | In this section, I will go over the basic Creature Pet Commands, and how to use these commands. Creature pets have no default commands of their own unless trained by a creature handler. Without being trained the store command they can only be stored through the radial menu on the Pet Control Device in the player's datapad or by clicking on the pet itself.

+ | <li> '''Stay''' - This command will cause your pet to stop its current movement and then stay put.
+ | <li> '''Friend'''- Allows a targeted player to control your pet. It Allows the target to issue commands to the pet. The befriended player cannot issue /tellpet commands however.
+ | The befriend command allows the targeted player to use all the commands already trained by the pet.
+ | Additionally, persons that are given the befriended pet wont get exp from the pets actions (ch exp for example) Thirdly, the pet counts against the creature handler's number of pets called out as well as their max CL available.\ Fourth - high level pets can even be given to low level chs or even non CH players to command - Fifth - befriended mounts cannot be used by other players.

+ | <li> '''Get in Column/Wedge Formation''' - This command causes your pet to assume a new position behind you<br>
+ | <li> '''Get Patrol Point''' - Marks a spot along a path for your pet to patrol. Allows a pet to store up to 10 patrol points, but only while the pet is present. If the pet is stored, you will need to re-program the patrol points. Patrol points can be up to 50 meters apart.
+ | <li> '''Clear Patrol Points''' - Clears all stored patrol points on a pet.
− | < | + | <li> '''Guard''' - Commands a combat capable pet to guard your current target (another player, NPC or creature). Your pet will attack anyone who attacks the guarded target. Guard is a toggle; you can command your pet to stop guarding by using the Guard option when you don't have anything targeted (the ESC key clears all targets). The pet will guard who ever is targeted. If no one is targeted, or an enemy is targeted, the pet will guard its owner. The pet will attack the first aggressive entity that comes after the guarded target. Any subsequent aggressor will be added to its list to attack after the initial aggressor has been destroyed. Pets will not stop guarding when commanded to follow or stay in combat (i.e. they will resume guarding after combat).<br> |

− | |||
+ | <li>'''Transfer'''<br><br>
+ | |||
+ | The transfer command is used to give ownership and transfer the Pet Control Device of a pet to a targeted player. Under normal circumstances, in order for a transfer to work, the pet must know the command. If the command is known then a player may transfer the pet either by targeting the player then issuing the command or by trading the PCD to the designated player.
+ | |||
+ | Non-CH's are limited to 2 non-aggro stored pets max (can still only call 1 CH pet, max). Players who currently have pets above their allowed limit will be able to keep the pets, but if their pets die, get transferred, etc, they will not be able to fill those "illegal" slots again. if they want a new pet, they will have to clear enough slots so they will legitimately have an available slot for the new pet.
+ | |||
+ | |||
+ | Players are allowed to transfer a pet-control-device even if it doesn't know the transfer command under the following conditions:
+ | |||
+ | * If the pet is too-high level for them to call
+ | |||
+ | * Presumably if the pet is an aggressive creature since non creature handlers cannot call aggressive creatures.
+ | * If the pet is a Bio-Engineered Creature - Non CH players must have a way to transfer deeded creatures to the CH.
− | =='''Part | + | Note: |
+ | |||
+ | * Pets cannot be traded to other players unless the pet knows the transfer command.

− | + | ||
− | |||
− | + | As briefly mentioned in above sections, pets can be issued commands to use their special abilities. Certain wild pets have innate abilities where as some bio-engineered pets are customized with them. Bio-engineered pets apparently were limited to what special abilities could be made functional into certain pet model types. For example a gurreck could not be made to use ranged attacks. Special attacks work exactly as the normal wild creature variety do. Special attacks will only work on command if the pet isn't actively attacking in combat. If the pet is in combat then the special attack will trigger after the pet's next attack. A list of special attacks and their effects are as follows:

System MessagesCreature Pet Command MechanicsIn this section, I will go over the basic Creature Pet Commands, and how to use these commands. Creature pets have no default commands of their own unless trained by a creature handler. Without being trained the store command they can only be stored through the radial menu on the Pet Control Device in the player's datapad or by clicking on the pet itself.
The datapad list is a window that is obtained by the player through left clicking on the Pet Control Device in the datapad. The window to the left displays all the known commands that the pet has acquired.
Part 1. Command ListComplete Command List This is a listing of all available radial options that may be trained to pets as they appear under the pet control device window.
Part 2. Pet Command DefinitionsNotes: 1. Commands cannot be issued to pets if the pet is outside of a building and the player issuing a command is inside of a building. 2. Pets commanded to "follow" or "stay" in combat will stop fighting, and either follow, or stay, until commanded to attack something.
