Game MechanicsThe kneel posture has a number of effects on combat. Like other posture changes, kneel offers a number of modifiers for the player such as bonuses to accuracy and defense against attacks. Kneel posture also adds certain penalties in the forms of not being able to use melee weapons. Another penalty gained by going kneel is that a damage bonus is applied against a player while they are in that position. Kneeled players receive 1.25 times the damage they would normally receive if they were standing if they are attacked by a melee opponent.
