Game MechanicsCertain items and abilities work to reduce the amount of damage that a dot can inflict on a target at every tick cycle of the dot. These features reduce the damage per tick by a certain percentage amount. For example Force Poison Resist will add a 25% absorption of all poison damage ticks. This means that if a player received a poison that did 100 damage per tick, they would now only be taking 75 damage per tick. Dot Types
