The spynet is categorized into three tiers: Novice, Intermediate and Advanced. These tiers correlate with the bounty hunter's Bounty Mission Difficulty modifier. Bounty hunters are only allowed to use appropriate spynet operatives that match their current tier. Bounty hunters are not allowed to use lower or higher tiered spynet operatives than what their current bounty mission difficulty is set to.

Spynet operatives will perform the following based on their tier:

Tier 1 Operatives: Bounty Difficulty 1

When a novice bounty hunter converses with a spynet operative, the operative will take the bounty mission that the player has acquired and then create a waypoint for the player to the target on the current planet.

Tier 2 Operatives: Bounty Difficulty 2

When a bounty hunter converses with a spynet operative, the operative will take the bounty mission that the player has acquired and will give the player a "bio signature" which flags the player as being able to use their their seeker droid to create a waypoint to the target. At investigation 2, the bounty hunter is allowed to use arakyd probe droids in addition to seeker droids to assist in interplanetary hunts when targets go off world.
