Game MechanicsHerald npcs are npcs that are used to inform players of particular spots on a planet through dialogue and by issuing waypoints. Herald npcs are classified as "quest" variants and POI dispensor variants.
When a player interacts with a waypoint herald npc, the npc will usually engage in a dialogue requesting the player to go visit a location. If the player accepts the request, they are given a waypoint to visit. When the player gets within 80 meters of the waypoint, the "quest" is completed and the waypoint removed from the player's datapad.
