Ability Breakdown & Details

This is a single target ranged attack. This attack allows you to attack targets in PvE without being detected and attacked. The target can still detect you normally by coming close to you or if you miss a certain number of times. If standing you are detected on the first miss, kneeling on the second, and prone on the third. You can reset this miss counter by using the peace command.** Caution – This special sometimes causes a bleed. You will be detected when the bleed ‘ticks’ **

The things you will want to watch for are:

If you are prone and at max or near max distance, no matter what shot you use, you can get off a number of shots (depending on your speed) before the creature automatically responds to you. The closer you are and the higher the posture, the shorter this time will be. Concealshot does not really change that, except that it prevents this auto response mechanism as long as you are hitting it with Concealshots. But you still pickup a creature TEF (temporary enemy flag) for that creature. So if it wanders too close to you, the chances are that it will notice you just because it became aware of you, and because you are an enemy (the TEF) it will attack, just like an aggressive creature would automatically attack you once you got too close to it and it became aware of you.

Targets will begin roaming around after being attacked with conceal shot. Their patters are perhaps erractic but in general they will inch closer to the player over time if the player is still in combat with the mob and if the mob's 'interest' in the player is still ongoing. If the mob moves Closer that 40m it will drastically increase the chances of the player being seen.

If the player is grouped and using concealshot, the mob will not automatically attack the player as the player will be removed from its target list while using the skill.
