question:
I'm sure this is a simple question but I can't find the answer anywhere. I just built a Weapon Crafting machine for my house but I also made the house public access so I can sell stuff on my vendor. Even though my weapon crafting tool has an inout hopper I can't seem to firure out why I can't add resources into the crafting machine. Also once I do get materials in the crafting machine will other people be able to use my material though the input hopper? On a side note if I make a friend an admin of my house will he have rights to take my things out of my vendor?
Answer
ou can access the input hopper by standing next to the station, bringing up the radial menu of a matching crafting tool (a Weapon, Droid, and General Item one in your case), hover the mouse over "Start crafting", and after a second, you'll see "open input hopper". This brings up another window representing the hopper, and you can drag resources into it from your inventory. I think this is a little bass-ackwards, since it looks like you're accessing the tool's input hopper, not the station's.
Once you've put resources in, you can use them by using the "Hopper" tab during the resource selection step of crafting (assuming you're close enough to the station).
The contents of the hopper does count against your house item total, so if you had 100 items in the house, and put 10 resource stacks into the hopper, your house status will show you having 110 items.
Only people with admin rights to the house can access the hopper. So your friend would be able to put resources in and take resources out, and (if he's a crafter) can use the resources during his crafting session. People without admin access to the house get a "you do not have rights to access the hopper" message if they try.
Oh, wait, that was a question on vendors. Only the vendor owner can place items for sale, withdraw sales, and access the stockroom. Other people (even with admin rights) get only the sale listings. They can put items up as an offer, but only the vendor owner sees that list, and he/she is the only possible buyer.
