First off, we realy need a newbie board here so people like me dont clutter the other forums asking questions. I just spent 2 hours searching the forums for an answer only to find gripes about insurance costs. The manual is all wrong and so is the holocron.... *clears throat*... update please.

Okay, if someone could just make a concrete fact guide and sticky it, yeah, that would rock. This is realy important info, much more important then all the cheat sheets you wimps use. mwhahahaha.

Or, just answer these questions =)

1) Death- Are there any penalties for death? If you die a whole bunch o times does that have an affect? Do i lose stats? Skills? money?

Besides wounds (if not cloned), and decay (if not insured), there is no penalty for death other than inconvenience.

2) Cloneing- What does cloneing do for you? I know that its nice to know where you will spawn, and the reduced amount of wounds is also groovy. But is there anything else?

Cloning sets your spawn site, and saves you 100 wounds to all primary stats and 100 battle fatigue, which you would gain on death if you were not cloned.

3) Decay- Holy crap can i get some ArmorAll? lol, jk.. How does this work? Does every hit i take reduce the condition? What amount of decay does death cuase?(i know i have had more then %5)

Armor takes damage on every hit to that particular piece (ie, armor pants damaged on a leg hit), based on the amount of damage it lets through. If you are killed in a PvE death against a non-factioned enemy (ie, a critter, or any NPC who is not a Rebel or an Imperial), your armor decays by 5% if you were not insured, and by 1% if you were insured. If you are killed in PvP or by a factioned NPC, there is no decay if you are insured (5% if you are not).

4) Insurance- What does insurance do?(reduce decay to %1, if so, and thats it, the system sucks)

See above

5) Repairs- Is anyone better at doing repairs or is it just the tool? Will being by a Armor crafting(ie) station make repairs go better? Everytime i have repaired i have either killed the item or reduced its overall quality... is the best i can do?(if so, i will always be broke and unarmed/armored)

To my best knowledge, no one gets a bonus to weapon or armor repair. It's a roll of the dice based on the quality of the tool only.
