Ok its rather simple, so i hope i help clear up a few things.
What is decay, and when does it happen:....
Decay: Decay happens upon you activating a Clone, not dying. If you are deathblowed, and then click on the clone button, your items will decay by either 5% or 1 %. The % is determined on whether or not your items are insured. Soooo as an example, we have my spiffy pair of blue/red hot shorts. They have a condition of 1000 / 1000. If i die, and am unisured their condition will drop to 950 / 1000 (5% decay) This happened because i died, clicked on the clone button and was uninsured. If i had been insured, the conditon would have been this 990 / 1000 ( 1% decay). Now, as to what decay effects....... Decay effects any item with a condition rating BESIDES weapons. Weapons are not effected by decay, but anything else with a condition rating ( armor, crafting tools, clothes, jewlery ) is. Things like stims are NOT effected by decay because they dont have a condition. Now, heres the kicker cause most people dont know this..... Decay ( the 1 % or 5 % ) will not effect any of your items if you are REVIVED. You see, most people think that decay is a penalty for death, it's not, it's a penalty for CLONING. Soooo if you happen to be near a doctor, or there is one in yourgroup, have him/her revive you and you will not be effected by decay.
