Factory Types
Wearables
Wearable factories allow for the production of clothing, armor and apparel schematics from the artisan, armorsmith and tailor professions. These are linked to schematics from the clothing and armor crafting tools.
Equipment
Equipment factories allow for the production of items, weapons and goods from weaponsmith, aritisan, droid engineer and shipwright professions. These factories are linked to schematics that can be used by Weapon, droid and general item crafting tools.
Food And Chemical
Food and chemical factories allow for the production of medical equipment and food related items from the artisan, medic, doctor, combat medic, chef professions. These factories are linked to the schematics that can be used by the Food and chemical crafting tools.
Structure And Furniture
Structure and furniture factories allow for hte production of structures and furniture built by architects. These factories are linked to the schematics that can be used by Structure and furniture crafting tools.
General Information
- Factories use one structure lot
- Factory runs give no usage experience
- Factories operate even while player is logged out
- Factories operate until out of power, out of resources or if the schematic limit has been reached
- Players on the Hopper list can just access the Input and Output Hoppers.
- Players at the Admin list can access all functions except being able to redeed or destroy the structure as only the lot owner can rename or destroy/redeed the factory.
- It is possible to add to and remove items from the Input Hopper, however only removing items is allowed in the Output Hopper.
- Factory input and output hoppers can hold 100 items each.
- Factories require manufacturing schematics to operate.
- Factories can produce 1000 items (1000 item limit from manufacturing schematic)
- At "Options" > "Access Schematic Slot"; add, switch, or remove Manufacture Schematics to/from the Datapad.
- At "Options" > "List Resources"; a few seconds after adding a schematic a list with resource names and units can be retrieved.
- While the factory is operating, clicking Options will open the Output Hopper, without stopping it.
- Examining a running factory displays the current job batch size and runtime for an item.
- Each Complexity point of the final schematic equals 8 seconds of factory runtime.
- Certain items cannot be made into manufacturing schematics and therefore cannot be created in factories.
Manufacture Schematics
A Manufacture Schematic is required to run a factory. If a player has created a manufacturing schematic in place of creating an object, the player can use it in an automated factory to mass-produce the object. These can only be made by specialized crafting tools near crafting stations to get the option of creating a manufacturing schematic. Manufactured items will all get identical serial numbers from the particular Manufacturing Schematic. Manufactured items come out into the factory output hopper as Factory Crates. Each crate is made up of a stack size of individual items inside. Default sizes differ from crate to crate depending on the item being made. Sizes are: 5, 7, 10, 15, 25, 50, and 100 stack sized crates.

Operating a Factory
- Craft a blueprint for the item you want to produce.
- Go to your factory.
- Open the radial-menu on the factory, select "Options" > "Access schematic slot"
- Select the schematic from the list.
- Select "Access station ingredient hopper"
- Drag and drop the resources required for the schematic into the hopper.
- To see what resources are needed to produce the item from the schematic, click "Options" > "List ingredients needed for station"
- Start the factory by selecting "Options" > "Start manufacturing objects"
- The factory will now run until it runs out of power, has used up the resources, until it has produced as many items as you allowed the schematic to be used for, or if the hopper is full.
