Description Template (Game Messages) Related Tags 25% This document has been partially completed. Mechanics This document is about game mechanics. Droid Power Usage Mechanics Droids require power. Every droid begins at a 100% charge and without using any additional command abilities and modules, will take 4 hours to reach 0%. When a Droid is low on power, it will say, "*low power*" Many of the droid's functions will not work if the droid is at 0% Battery Power. While being without power, the droid will not respond to voice commands, will not group, will not learn its name, and most modules such as Combat Modules, Medical Modules and other special abilities modules will not function. The only modules that will work when your droid has no power are the Crafting Station modules and item storage modules if you have them installed. There are two sources of power: batteries, and power droid. If you give a command or attempt to use a droid's features while it has no power, the player will see a *Low Power* message over the droid. When a droid is at 0% power, it will issue the "Low Power" message every 30 seconds. , make sure you have a droid battery in your inventory and select "Recharge" on the droid's radial menu. If no batter is used and this command is issued then gold text will display indicating You Don't Have a Power Storage Device. Crafting modules can also be affected by nearby droids or crafting stations. If you are not getting functionality from your droid's crafting module after verifying the power, store the droid and call it again in a different area. Also keep in mind that droids should not be built with multiple crafting stations. With publish 11.2 droid battery lifetime was expanded from 1 hour to 4 hours. Using certain modules reduced the battery life time by one half per use. The typical battery life is 4 hour per charge; however some modules will drain power at a faster rate. To recharge your droid, you must have a Droid Battery present in your Inventory. Next, call your droid and open up its radial menu. Select the menu option 'Droid Options' you will find a Recharge command. Once you use this you will see a 'Recharged' fly text over the droid. This should power your droid back up to full. 1 Battery charge will be expended per recharge use. Recharging your droid will heal all Mental damage. The second option is to use the battery directly from the inventory. To use a battery, have a battery, out of the crate, in your primary inventory. Select the radial menu, and click on RECHARGE. This will draw a single charge out of the droid battery (note that a droid battery can have more than one charge or uses). Droid charge does not appear to stack. So, if you dump 20 batteries into a droid at once, it will not make that power last any longer than if you had just dumped one charge into the droid. The radial is the only way to recharge your droid, through the use of a battery. Power Droids also produce the same function as using a battery, but can not target themselves for the recharge. A power droid can be used to power one other droid at a time - hence, if you own a power droid, you can only power someone else's droid, as you can only have one droid out at a time. Power droids can power multiple other droids before needing a recharge of their own. A power droid can be used to recharge another droid in two ways. The first is by clicking the radial on the power droid and then using the Recharge Other Droid option while having the other droid targeted. The second is to use a voice / tellpet command that is programmed. The command for power droids is labeled as Trick One. Trick One can be given a custom command to enable the droid to respond. example : Your Power Droid is still called 'Bob', and you programmed it to 'recharge' when saying 'Bob recharge'. Target the Droid to recharge. Type 'Bob recharge' (owner doesnt have to consent or be in your group). The Power Droid will briefly go toward the targeted Droid, then '*recharged*' will appear over the Recharged Droid and in your Chat Window, meaning the operation was a success.
