Profession Overview

Teras Kasi Artist abilities are designed around unarmed combat. They are the Martial Artist who has honed their entire body into a weapon, learning to use fists and feet to their fullest advantage. There are no professions that require Teras Kasi Artist as a prerequisite, for Teras Kasi Artist is an elite profession. In order to become a Teras Kasi Artist though, one must first attain Master Unarmed Specialization in the Brawler profession.

Abilities

Teras Kasi Artists get abilities to destroy their enemies in close, hand-to-hand combat. With special abilities like combo attacks, knockdown attacks, and even some buffs, a Teras Kasi Artist is a fearsome foe to combat against.

The four Teras Kasi Artist skill lines are: Meditative Techniques, Balance Conditioning, Power Techniques and Precision Striking. Let's look at each of these in detail.

Teras Kasi Novice

The Teras Kasi novice has taken the first steps along the path of the deadly unarmed fighter. They have learned to focus their will into turning their very bodies into deadly weapons. There are three bonuses to becoming a Teras Kasi Artist:

  • Combat Bonuses:
  • Unarmed Hit 2: This attack does extra damage versus a single enemy.
  • Meditation Bonuses: Bonuses increase the effects of meditation.
    • Meditation: The ability to stop bleeding and to slow poison and disease. At higher levels, meditation can slowly regenerate the Artist.

Meditative Techniques

Meditative Techniques is the skill tree that focuses on the inner strength of the Teras Kasi Artist. Along this tree, the Artist learns to focus their will into their bodies, thereby enhancing several aspects of their physical selves. There are three main advantages that this tree grants the Artist:

  • Powerboost: The ability to focus one's mind in order to strengthen one's body.
  • Force of Will: The ability to recover from incapacitation much more quickly.
  • Meditation Bonuses: Bonuses increase the effects of meditation.
  • Power Boost: This ability allows the Artist to trade points from their Mind pool into their Body pool.
  • Force of Will: This ability allows the Artist, when incapacitated, to awaken much more quickly than they normally would.

Balance Conditioning

Balance Conditioning teaches the Teras Kasi Artist to be able to act even under the deepest duress. Besides the ability to fight throughout difficult situations, Balance Conditioning grants the Artist Knockdown strikes, which are invaluable for slowing down an enemy. There are two main areas of advantage along this tree:



  • Special Attacks: The Artist gains several special attacks that allow them to harm their foe.
    • Unarmed Knockdown 1: The ability to knock down a single target.
    • Unarmed Knockdown 2: The ability to knock down and dizzy a singly target.

Power Techniques

The Power techniques tree is for the Teras Kasi Artist who desires the improve their standard unarmed attack to the peak performance. This path focuses on hitting faster and harder, even teaching the Artist a few special attacks. There are four of advantage along this path:

  • Unarmed speed and damage: The ability to strike for more damage, more often.


  • Special Attacks: The Artist gains several special attacks that allow them to harm their foe.
  • Unarmed Dizzy 1: The ability to dizzy a single target.
  • Unarmed Combo 1: The ability to attack the head and body, damaging both the Health and Mind pools.
  • Unarmed Spin Attack 2: The ability to damage multiple targets at once (more powerful than Unarmed Spin Attack 1).
  • Unarmed Combo 2: The ability to attack the head, body and legs, damaging all three pools at once.

Precision Striking

Precision Striking is the path for the Teras Kasi Artist who wants to place their every blow on the exact target (and therefore pool) that they desire. This tree grants the Artist more accuracy, but it also grants them special attacks to specifically target certain areas of their enemy. There are four advantages on this path:

  • Melee Improvements: The Artist gains more Defense as well as more Melee Accuracy and Unarmed Toughness


*Special Attacks: The Artist gains several special attacks that allow them to harm their foe.

    • Unarmed Body Hit 1: The ability to attack a target's body to damage their Health pool.
    • Unarmed Leg Hit 1: The ability to attack a target's leg to damage their Action pool.
    • Unarmed Head Hit 1: The ability to attack a target's head to damage their Mind pool.

Teras Kasi Masters

Teras Kasi Masters (who have all the Teras Kasi abilities and have obtained Master status) gain additional attack bonuses, damage bonuses, and speed bonuses as well as a special attack.

  • Unarmed Hit 3: This ability inflicts extra damage to a single target (more than Unarmed Hit 2).
