Droid Medical Module Usage Mechanics

Usable by a Novice Medic and above, The Medical Module allows you to heal wounds and damage anywhere that the droid is present, except for static city Cantinas. The owner of the droid can use his/her medical skills as long as they are within 15 meters of the droid.

Any location in which you can heal wounds has a "medical rating." That rating directly applies to how well you can heal wounds and damage (this also applies to application of enhancements) in that location. A medical center has a rating of 100 (or 100% ability), while a basic camp has a rating of 65 (or 65% ability). Therefore, your healing abilities in a basic camp are going to be greatly reduced compared to how they would be in a medical center. The medical rating only applies to the droid's owner, unlike with crafting modules which affect all players in the area.

All player structures (houses, hospitals, cantina, merchant tents, theaters, PC cloning centers, city halls and guild halls) have a 100 rating, as do NPC medical centers and Taverns. If you are in a camp, med center or any player structure, you will be able to buff without a droid.

Medical centers and scout camps overwrite droid bonuses. If not in a Medical Specialized Player City - the variable is calculated at 100 or 1.0 multiplier. If in a Medical Specialized Player City - the varible is calculated at 110, or a 1.1 multiplier. Droids follow this same principal with the medical capability rating. A droid with a low quality module that has less than a 100 rating will offer lower strength heals and wound treatment effects while the player is within range of it. A droid with a rating of 100 or higher will offer the base treatment values or add a bonus. For example a droid with a rating of 55 will cause a player to heal at only 55% of their normal amount. This applies to injury and wound treatment.

This issue appears to be a bug in that the environment is probably supposed to choose the highest of the two (the player's droid or the base environment rating) before doing calculations. This means that for injury treatment, that a player should not be receiving a penalty to it while a low quality droid is out and nearby. In regard to wound treatment; since a player cannot offer services that use wound treatment without being in a medical center or applicable structure/area, a medical droid of low quality offering lower yield effects would make more sense.
