Ability Breakdown & Details
At novice smuggler, players are given access to the ability to slice objects. Slicing offers players the opportunity to unlock certain containers to obtain goods, aid in the GCW through base destruction, obtain increased mission reward payouts, open access to doors in dungeons, and increase the stats on weapons and armor. Each level of slicing tree from novice smuggler to slicing 3 adds a new slicing feature for the player to use as well as increasing the maximum possible value of the slice attempt.
Players may slice an object by selecting it, opening its radial menu and choosing the Slice radial menu. Once the slicing option has been chosen, the player is then presented with a series of scenerios where they must utilize specialized tools to aid them in the process of cutting wiring in a specific order. The wiring options are randomized for the event and if the player chooses the wrong wire, the event fails.
Objects, with the exception of mission terminals, can only have one attempt made at slicing them. Mission Terminals will be sliceable every 2 minutes following the last slice attempt, regardless of the outcome. When a slicing attempt fails, all objects except for terminals, will remain unslicable from that point on.
If a player closes a slicing window, the slicing event will recycle itself and the player will have to begin again from scratch.
