Stimpack Dispensor Module Mechanics

The Stimpack Dispenser Module has a theoretical maximum of 600 Stimpack Capacity and 60 Stimpack Delivery within an advanced R3 droid.

The Stimpack Delivery Rating determines the amount of time it takes to issue a stim. The closest equation, to figure out the time between stim usage, that has been suggested is 60 x (1 / Stimpack Delivery Rating) = x seconds, rounded down to the nearest whole number.

Example
A Stimpack Delivery Rating of 19 = 3 seconds.
60 x (1/19) = 60 x 0.0526315~ = 3.15789 seconds

This timer applies to all persons in the group. If one requests a stim, the next person has to wait.

The Stimpack Power attribute that displays on the droid indicates the amount of Health and Action that will be healed by the currently selected stimpack. Droids do not get medical rating bonuses to their healing potential so the listed value is what will be offered up as healing. The charges from the inserted stimpacks do stack and it always uses the highest power stim first. I should also note that the "capacity" = charges. This means that a stimpack with 50 uses will take up 50 capacity from the total amount available to the dispensor. Inserting a stimpack with 50 uses into a dispensor that has a capacity of 600 will now reduce the capacity of the dispensor to 550. In the case where loading stimpacks will produce an overflow, the remaining stims will remain in the player's inventory. For example, if there is 10 units of capacity remaining in the droid and a stimpack with 30 charges is used to load it then the stim dispensor will take 10 charges from the stimpack and then the remaining charges will remain in the stimpack in the user's inventory.


In regard to the order in which stims are selected; A stimpack with a healing power of 120 will be selected first over a stimpack with a power of 100. The currently selected stimpack's power will be displayed in the droids info and when used up, the next highest stim will be selected until all are depleted.

Only Stimpack A's can be used. This excludes the Quest Stimpack-A+ versions however.



Using Stimpack Dispensor Modules

The Stimpack Dispenser Module will produce a Request Stimpack Option. The following two submenus are produced


  • Request Stimpack - Can be replaced by using the /requeststimpack command
  • Load Stimpack - Allows you to add 1 Stimpack to the droid at a time. (Only for those with Pharmacology IV)

Using the Command /requestStimpack (Droids name) - Including the brackets - will allow you to request a stim directly from the droid, without having to target it. This allows you to put the command on a macro.


Example Your droids name is Fix-It. The command would be /requestStimpack (Fix-It)


Loading the droid

The droid owner may load the stimpacks into the droid through using the "Load Stimpack" option under the Request Stimpack radial menu options. A list of all stim A's that are in your inventory (not in crates) will pop up, and you just choose one to load. Repeat this until the droid is full. A second method to load stims is by directly dragging the stimpack on top of the droid itself. In both cases, loading will deduct uses from the stim, up to the current storage limit of the droid. Players that do not have Pharmacology IV can not use the Loading radial options on the droid and are also unable to load stims into the droid through drag and drop method.


Requesting Healing


The owner and any grouped player can use the droid by using the requeststimpack command while targeting the droid or by using the radial on the droid or by issueing a requeststimpack command with the droid's name; for example /requeststimpack (benny). The requeststimpack command goes into the combat queue like other commands and cannot work if the player is incapacitated or dead. Since droid stimpack requests are processed through the combat queue, this makes them usable on a first come first serve basis. A player that requests the stimpack will have this request in their combat queue until the request moves up to be executed. Players issuing further requests to the droid will be put in the droid's queue and will execute based on when the previous player's queue gets processed and the droid's healing speed timer. Droid heals do not gain any bonus from player injury treatment modifiers,and therefore only heal at the base listed values on the stimpacks. To use a stimpack, the player requesting the stim must be within 30 meters of the droid to be able to issue the request. After issuing the request, the droid will travel to the player in an attempt to heal them. The droid must travel to or already be within the 30 meter range of the player to heal them. A player can load the droid and then transfer it to another play who will then be able to use it themselves. Only the owner of the droid can load it however, therefore the befriend command will not work as a means to load the stimpacks. Once placed inside, stimpacks cannot be removed from the droid, however the droid can be directed to heal players who do not need healing.



Stimpack Modules & Item storage modules


Stimpack modules and item storage modules can be tricky to use together. Since stimpack modules can be loaded through drag and drop (and via radial), this runs into conflict with the normal method for item storage modules (drag and drop) onto the droid. The resolution to this issue is through filling the item storage container module first, then a player may be able to drag and drop stimpacks into the droid.
