Vehicle Mount Mechanics

Types of Vehicles

There are 6 types of vehicle mounts in game. These are:

Calling Vehicles

If you have bought a vehicle deed in your inventory then double clicking on this or selecting the radial option "Generate Vehicle" from the radial menu will cause the new mount to appear in your datapad as a Vehicle Control Device and also be summoned into the world. To call the vehicle out from the datapad, use its radial option in the datapad by clicking Call option on the radial or you may optionally add the vehicle to the hotbar by dragging and dropping its icon from the datapad. It can be summon by pressing its icon on the hotbar. You have to go outside to call a vehicle unless you are in a city, a camp, or in a public building such as your residence). There is a 15 second timer before the vehicle will be spawned from the datapad. A player cannot call a vehicle out while in combat (being in the combat stay even if not attacking, being attacked or attacking a target). Entering Combat (attacking or being attacked) will cancel the calling process of a pet/vehicle if the player has issued a call request. A player will not be able to call a vehicle/mount/pet/droid during combat for 30 seconds after combat is concluded. Players will not be able to call a pet, mount, or vehicle while riding a vehicle or mount. Non creature handlers may only call and use one pet at a time and this pet must then be stored before you can call another droid, vehicle or creature. Only one of each are allowed out. Creature Handlers may call up to 5 pets total which include a droid, a faction npc, and up to 3 creature pet or combination of creature pets and a vehicle. Only the creature pets summoned will count against the creature handler's level 70 combined creature level cap. Non creature handlers cannot call aggressive creatures or creatures of higher Challenge Level than 10; this includes using mounts. Non creature handler Players can't summon vehicles and pets at the same time. When a vehicle is called, the pet will store, and when a pet is called the vehicle will store.

The one exception to the calling behavior is the Jet Pack. Once you call it, you will automatically mount it.

Storing & Removing Vehicles

A player cannot store a vehicle while they themself are in combat. Vehicles can be stored back into the datapad so long as they are not in combat (being attacked). The vehicle can be stored back in the datapad either through its radial menu, through the datapad menu or by pressing its cooresponding icon on the hotbar after you drag and drop it onto the hotbar from the datapad. Vehicles will auto store when the owner uses a shuttle to travel. Unstored vehicles will not remain in the world after their owner has logged out for longer than 2 minutes, and current health info. etc. will properly be saved.

When a player wants to get rid of a vehicle, they can simply click on the pet control device and use the destroy radial.

The one exception to storing behavior is the Jet Pack. If you dismount, it will also store instantly into the datapad.

Using Vehicles

You can climb aboard a vehicle by first targeting the mount then choosing "Enter/Exit Vehicle" from its radial menu, or targeting it and typing /mount. Players can use the /mount command to mount a pet or a vehicle by inputting its name into the command line. Players may also mount something by using the /mount command while having the mount/vehicle targeted and are nearby.Players must be within 3 meters of the mount to be able to get on it.

Example 1.

For example /mount vehicletypename If the vehicle is a "speaderbike swoop" then the following syntax will work:

/mount speederbike /mount speederbike swoop

Example 2.

If the mount is a creature pet with a name

For example: /mount (petname)

If the pet's name is Benny, the following will work

/mount (benny)

You can dismount by choose "Enter/Exit Vehicle" from the vehicles radial menu, or typing /dismount. You can also store vehicles in the data section of your datapad (default CTRL-D). Use the "Generate Vehicle" option to bring out the mount. Unlike creature mounts, you cannot engage in combat while mounted on a vehicle. Vehicles cannot go inside buildings.

Note: Players cannot have more than one type mount out at a time. Players cannot mount their pet & call out a vehicle or be riding a vehicle and attempt to call out a pet or mount a pet mount that is already out.

Note: Vehicles can be traded to other players.

How many vehicles can I own at one time?

Players can store up to 3 vehicles at once time in their datapad.

Vehicle Movement Speeds

Each type of vehicle has its own unique features such as acceleration rates and terrain negotiation rates on inclines. Vehicles slow down to 70% of their maximum speed while over water.

Terrain Incline Acceleration Rates

  • AV-21 landspeeder - fast
  • X-34 Landspeeder - fast
  • Speederbike - average
  • Swoop - slow
  • Jetpack - fast
  • Flash Speeder - Unknown (assuming on par with av-21)

Flat surface acceleration Rates

  • AV-21 landspeeder - 17m/s
  • X-34 Landspeeder - 13/s
  • Speederbike - 15m/s
  • Swoop - 17m/s
  • Jetpack - 17m/s
  • Flash Speeder - Unknown (assuming on par with av-21)

Vehicle Condition & Repair

Vehicles can become damaged either from being attacked by an enemy or through natural condition loss. Each type of vehicle will lose a set amount of hitpoints every 10 minutes. This cycle begins as soon as a vehicle is summoned and summoned from the world, thus each time the vehicle is called out or stored it loses an amount of hitpoints. Once a vehicle loses all of its hitpoints, it will become disabled and will no longer be mountable by the player. Players have the option to repair vehicles through the use of a garage. Garages are structures found in player and non player cities in which a player may enter into its radius to be eligible to repair their vehicle. The repair radius on garages is 64 meters. Once within the repair radius, a player must call out their vehicle, open its radial menu and click the Repair Vehicle option. The player will then be prompted with a menu that shows the total cost that it will take to repair vehicles. All vehicles cost 4 credits per hit point lost in order to repair them. Once accepted, vehicles are repaired to the original 100% maximum condition.

Vehicle Hitpoint Loss Per Cycle:

  • AV-21 landspeeder - 8
  • X-34 Landspeeder - 8
  • Speederbike - 13
  • Swoop - 25
  • Jetpack - 13
  • Flash Speeder - Unknown (assuming on par with av-21)

General Notes
