Loot Schematics

Loot schematics come in two forms: Items received as a quest reward or as items received from looting a corpse. Each schematic has a skill requirement for it of which can only be learned by players who have that particular skill. Some schematics acquired such as the Shellfish harvesting Tool are unlimited use, meaning that the player can craft as many of these items as they wish. This particular schematic is acquired via a quest reward item that is given and of which the player uses in order to learn the schematic in their datapad. Another type of unlimited use item is that of R.I.S armor where it is obtained via an npc uploading the schematic to the player's data pad automatically. Additionally some schematics are flagged as limited use, meaning they may only be used a certain number of times before they will be removed from the player's schematic pool. To learn a schematic, you must click on the schematic and open up the radial menu, then click the Learn Schematic option. A limited use schematic considers a use as having gone past the assembly section of crafting the item. After this is done, a notification is sent to the player letting them know the current uses remaining on their schematic. Critical failures on assembly do not count against the use on the schematic. Some limited use schematics have only one use and they are unable to have manufacturing schematics made out of them. If a player is using a specialized tool and near a crafting station to craft these items, they will not see an option to create a manufacturing schematic within the 4th prompt during the crafting process.
