Loot Item Dealer

Game Mechanics

Junk Dealers can be found in most major NPC cities. There are 3 different types of junk dealers:

  • A buyer of odds and ends
  • A buyer of clothes and jewelry
  • A buyer of weapons

All three types of Junk Dealers will only buy looted items, no player-made items can be sold to them.

The first kind of Junk Dealer will buy a wide variety of items, they also will give players Loot Kits. Any items that are listed as “broken” can be sold to them for a small price. “Broken” items include Broken Hand-Held Viewscreens, Broken, Datapads, Broken Meson Telescopes, Broken Binoculars, etc. Keep in mind, some of these “Broken” items can be repaired using other looted items, but we’ll get to that later on in Chapter 4. They will also buy Datadisk Message Fragments, but personally, I advise against selling them to a Junk Dealer. The reason will be explained later on in Chapter 3. Basically, this guy is a catch-all of sorts.

The second kind of Junk Dealer buys most clothing and jewelry. The only word of caution I have is that 99% of clothing that you will loot is junk, but once in a great while, you will loot a piece of clothing with a small skill mod attached to it. Before you sell any clothing or jewelry, examine it to see if it offers and special bonuses.

The third Junk Dealer buys all manner of weapons. There are a few types of non-crafted weapons that they won’t buy: 1- Weapons taken from a container in a dungeon 2- Quest rewards
